Laurel Negro  Cordia Megalantha Blake

 

This is a common species to the wet and semi-decidous forests of Tropical America.  It is a brown colored wood with a semi-brilliant surface, medium texture, straight to interlocked grain texture, with pronounced striping.  It is easy to work with manual tools and traditional machinery, excellent for turning.
