Black Limba comes from West Africa and has distinct pale heartwood with dark streaks running through the pieces. It is a wood that is very workable, not hard on your tools and has a mild odor while being worked.
It is commonly used for veneer, plywood, musical instruments such as electric guitar bodies, and turned items.
