Peruvian Walnut

Latin: Juglans spp. Origin: Southern Mexico through Central and South America

Peruvian Walnut grows throughout Southern Mexico through Central American and into tropical regions of South America. This large tree is commercially and easy to work with. It is commonly harvested for hardwood  flooring but is also used for fine furniture and cabinetry. The color is a deeper, rich chocolate brown than domestic Walnut.
